F1 22 How to use crossplay and more
F1 22 will get crossplay later this week. We’ll update this hub with more details when it’s switched on, but here’s what you need to know.
First off, you’ll have to enable the feature first by going to Game Options > Settings. Xbox owners may need to take an extra step, detailed here.
Then, when you head into Social Race, you’ll now have the ability to invite and join other sessions across any platform.
To review any pending requests and invites, you’ll want to head into your Friends Hub. Either use the left thumbstick or F10 on PC and select the Friends option.
As a host, head to the Invite Friends option in the lobby to invite players on other platforms into your lobby. The Friends Hub is also where you’ll go to pick up your invites from other formats. Easy-peasy.
The F1 22 patch 1.09 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. It comes a little under two weeks since the game’s last update which you can read about here.
