External Amiibo Reader Launches For Nintendo 3Ds On October 2

The NFC Reader/Writer accessory for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS will launch in the UK on October 2, Nintendo has announced.

The device will enable older 3DS and 2DS systems to be compatible with amiibo figures and the new Series 1 Animal Crossing amiibo Cards Packs, which also launch on October 2 alongside Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.

There’s currently no word on pricing.
