Epic Games continues to be one of the most popular gaming platforms for PC users worldwide. Not only do they carry two of the biggest titles in League of Legends and Valorant on their app, but they also offer a variety of free games that change weekly.
As usual, the current offering of free entries has finally been revealed for the week of January 19. Those who prefer single-player experiences now have something to look forward to with what’s being provided.
Without further ado, here are the list of free games that Epic is currently offering.
Epic Games Store Free Game for the week of January 19
The following title is the only free game available at the Epic Games store:
- Epistory – Typing Chronicles
As you probably guessed from the title, Epistory is a typing game that lets you take the role of a girl riding a giant fox as they attempt to save their world from an insectile corruption. All of the elements within the game, from combat to movement, is controlled by typing through your keyboard.
Epistory will be available for free on the Epic Games store until January 26. Afterwards, it will be replaced an indie title called Adios the following week.
Last week’s list of free games included the following:
- Divine Knockout
- First Class Trouble
- Gamedec – Definitive Edition
All three of the aforementioned games were available until January 19 after which they were replaced by Epistory this week. The first two options were specifically made to be played with other players while the last one is an immersive single-player experience.
Divine Knockout is a third-person platform fighter developed by Red Beard Games that features gameplay similar to Multiversus and Super Smash Bros. Its cast of characters features iconic figures from Greek, Norse, and Japanese mythology.
Next, First Class Trouble is a multiplayer social deduction game that pits real humans against AI as they fight to survive aboard a space cruise-liner. Fans of titles such as Among Us and Goose Goose Duck will surely enjoy this offering from Epic Games.
Finally, Gamedec is a visually stunning single-player cyberpunk title that puts players in the role of a game detective that solves crimes in virtual worlds. Its design and theme may remind some of the popular ZA/UM title, Disco Elysium.
