The calendars might read 2020, but Epic Games is still living in the past. For any of you that might have missed Epic’s “Holiday 2019” sale, fear not! Savings on all your favorite games can still be had for another week! To ring in the new year with glee, last year’s finale sale has been extended a week on the Epic Games Store.
While it won’t include all of the same free games or discounts on literally everything, a selection of the best sellers from last year’s bonanza blowout have been discounted until January 7, 2020. The same $10 coupons Epic was handing out are also still eligible to be used until that same date. This means you can get the recently released Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for $39.49 if you use your stocked up discount coupon.
It’s a pretty great way to give people that were busy over the holiday break a chance to add some new games to their libraries. With the end of 2019 being chock full of nothing past Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s release, it’s not like you’ll even need to buy that much to experience everything the year had to offer.
It would be silly to list out all of the games on offer since the store page lays them out well. I’m surprised to see Ghost Recon: Breakpoint in there considering how terrible it is, but I guess $13.99 (with coupon) would be a decent price to see that travesty of a game. It’s a hell of a lot better than dropping $119.99 on the “Ultimate Edition” back when the game launched.
What’s sadder is that very few indies games are discounted. John Wick Hex is one of the most slept on games of 2019, but it’s not on sale. Considering you can still use your $10 coupon on it, that does knock the price to half off. Still, developer Mike Bithel did a great job with the game and everyone that’s a fan of the films should give it a go.
At any rate, if you want to get some of 2019’s biggest games on the cheap, now is your last chance to do so. We won’t see prices this low until Steam does its summer sale later in the year.
