Piccolo has some seriously good footwork in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Although, it might just be a glitch.

Okay, it’s probably a glitch. But it’s still pretty amazing.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot hasn’t had the most bug-free of launches. It’s not so bad as to ruin the game’s reputation, but the bugs are definitely… noticeable.

Take this example from Reddit user cinephile1999. While playing Kakarot on the PS4, they encountered a very special glitch that showed off Piccolo’s unexpectedly awesome dance moves.

This 10-second clip is set to “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins (his other big hit outside of the Top Gun classic), which really fits the overall theme. Piccolo first spins in place, then he moonwalks out of camera during a cutscene while still maintaining his “about to fight” pose. Goku is apparently speechless during the whole encounter, never having met a green-skinned alien that can move so effortlessly before.

According to the comments, this is not an especially uncommon bug. Others report similar instances of Piccolo just floating away mid-conversation. Others report glitches with different characters during cutscenes, with many saying that characters will just keep walking out of the scene entirely.

This glitch was posted before the January 31st update, so it’s possible that it might have been patched out by now. If so, we’ll mourn the loss of dancing Piccolo, but we’ll cheer the arrival of faster load times.

That said, Kakarot is still full of bugs that will delight fans of the series. There’s the duplication bug, which duplicates characters during cutscenes so that it appears like there’s a bunch of clones running around. And there’s the giant eyes bug, which turns any Dragon Ball Z character into an even more exaggerated anime caricature than they already are.

But none of them are as great as Piccolo dancing to “Footloose.” Maybe we should ask Bandai Namco to keep that bug in.
