The International 9 ended not too long ago, and with its end, we get to take a look at what happened during the global eSport event. The highly anticipated annual cinematic series, True Sight: The International 2019, makes its debut this January 28th, 2020, at the Babylon Theatre in Berlin, Germany.

Leading the event are hosts ODPixel and Fogged, and contributing to the festivities are the star duo, Kaci and SirActionSlacks. TI9 champion team, OG and runner up, and former Team Liquid roster, Nigma, will be in attendance as well. True Sight: The International 2019 will be available to those around the world on SteamTV and Twitch, but for people that want to see it personally live in the flesh, the venue will be at the Babylon Theatre.

True Sight is the cinematic documentary series fans and players alike wait for after every Dota 2 International event. It showcases everything that happened behind the scenes during the tournament  — ranging from each of the player’s expressions before or after a game to moments of happiness, frustration, disappointment, and more. Interviews with professionals or even supporters are highlighted during the series.

Predictions are being made all over the globe, and people are guessing what this year’s True Sight will turn out to be. Considering that OG took TI9 almost effortlessly and became back-to-back champions, two-time winners, and the highest earned eSport players in the world. The previous True Sight series that debuted highlighted OG’s frustration with their sudden roster changing that led to world doubting their chances.

To which OG prevailed and proved everyone wrong in the process of winning the International 8. This created and amassed a massive following for the team’s success of not letting anything stop them from achieving and succeeding in what they dream of becoming.

However, with TI9 being a bit of a lackluster tournament for everyone in consideration of OG’s clean sweep that led to their crowning, the weight of everyone’s expectations on Valve’s shoulders is massive. Only the most optimistic of guesses bring light to the realistic expectations of fans for True Sight: The International 2019, all in the hope that it will stand equally by its predecessor’s side or even higher.

If you’re looking to secure a seat at the Dota 2 live event, tickets go on sale for 10 euros on January 6th, 2020.
